Taxi bike passenger carried awayby ride

The city's only motorbike taxi has had its first paying customer.

Michelle Milne, a bingo hall assistant manager who lives in Fenton, had been keen to ride pillion for many years.

the 28-year-old took to the trip with City Cabs 2000 to Eccleshall, Stone, Uttoxeter and back home - and enjoyed it so much she now plans to buy her own motorcycle.

She said:" I was never allowed to go on a bike when I was younger.

"Then my mum saw the story about this motorbike taxi service in The Sentinel and booked the trip for me.

It was really amazing.

there was an intercom gadget in our helmets and the driver chatted to me along the way. He was very considerate.

He kept checking that everything was OK for me.

I would definitely recommend this service.

I plan to use it once a month untill I can buy my own bike"
